From Colors : Marianne Aublet

We are proud and happy  to present the soloshow « From Colors » By Marianna Aublet, with incredible colorofuls works on paper,  not seen by the public since their production in the 1980 to early 1990. Since 1983 , Marianne devotes her artistic work to drawings and paintings .

Artistic activities practiced in the various countries  where she lived : France ; India ; Belgium .
Be it via acrylic , pastels , ink , Marianne’s work is striking by its
conspicuous sense of colors «  exploding «  the space of the canvas or paper by its aerial , strong and dynamic construction in a search of equilibrium and freedom . 
Marianne exhibited in several group- shows in Paris and different french cities , the UK , Netherlands and the USA and solo – shows  ( Galerie James Mayor , in Paris . Galerie Félix Frachon , in Brussels – 2019 ) .

Numerous of her drawings and engravings are in private collections and engravings at the « Bibliothèque Nationale «  , in Paris .

Marianne Aublet was born in 1948 in Nîmes . France . She is the grand – daughter and daughter of prominent artists ,  orientalist Albert Aublet and Architecht , painter , designer Félix Aublet . 

After studies at Ecole des Beaux – Arts , in Marseille -Luminy( studio of painter Jacques Busse ) . ( 1967 – 1970)  and Ecole des Arts Décoratifs – ENSAD – Section Interior Design – in Paris ( 1970 – 1974 ) and travels in the USA , she joined the famous engraving studio founded and managed by Sir William Hayter, in Paris , ATELIER 17  ( Where among many artists ,  Picasso, Miro , Kandinsky , Giacometti , Alechinsky  experimented the technics of engraving )    

At ATELIER 17 , under the guidance of William Hayter and the american artist George Ball , she learned and developed her engraving practices ( 1975 – 1983) .
In the meantime , she undertook several other complementary  artistic activities , such as jewel and ceramics creations . 

Marianne equally contributed to the preparation and  lay – out of all the exhibitions organized by one of the most important  galleries of primitive – art in Paris , Gallery Michel Huguenin .
Moreover , she contributed to the conception and set – up of the exhibition «  Isle de France – Isle Maurice 1917 – 1978 «  , at the «  Musée de la Marine – Palais de Chaillot in Paris ( 1978 ) .

In 1991 , Marianne co – founded and managed with her sister Martine Aublet an interior – design company ALTHEE INTERNATIONAL . 1991 – 1994 . 

They were in charge of the interior – design of offices of major corporations , public – administrations and private residences in France
